Bare Bar - Unscented Goat Milk & Lard Soap

The Bare Bar is our simplest and most essential soap: raw goat milk from our herd, clean hand-rendered Mangalitsa lard from our farm, and lye. No scent. No color. No unnecessary ingredients. Just a small-batch bar made with care, restraint, and reverence for the process.

Process:

This is the bar that started everything. We hand-render lard from our own timber-raised Mangalitsa pigs, add raw goat milk from our herd, and make each batch slowly with a simple recipe we trust for our own family. The Bare Bar embodies the standard behind everything we do: simple ingredients we can account for, handled with care, and made with reverence from start to finish.

Scent Profile:

Unscented. No added fragrance or essential oils. The natural scent is mild and neutral. 

Ingredients:

• Raw goat milk
• Hand-rendered Mangalitsa lard
• Sodium hydroxide.

Sodium hydroxide, also called lye, is required to make real soap. Traditionally made from wood ash and water, lye has long been part of traditional soapmaking. During saponification, lye reacts with fats and is used up through the process, leaving behind finished, clean soap.

How to use:

Lather with warm water, rinse clean, and allow the bar to dry between uses. Keeping the bar dry between uses will help it last longer.

Weight:

Approximately 2 3/4 oz bar. Each bar is cut by hand, so weight, shape, color, and appearance may vary slightly.
