Collection: Workshops
Learn the old skills by doing the work.
Our workshops are hands-on classes built around the work of the farm, the kitchen, and the products we make. These are not polished demonstrations where you stand back and watch someone perform. They are practical workshops for people who want to get hands on and learn real skills.
Depending on the season, we may offer workshops in traditional soapmaking, natural lotions and balms, sourdough making and baking, farm-to-table cooking, animal care, and small-scale animal processing.
The work may look ordinary from the outside, but doing it well takes care, attention, timing, and respect for the process.
Old-world knowledge, carried forward
Our lead instructor, Kati, was born in Hungary and grew up on a farm watching her grandmother raise, process, cook, preserve, and use what the farm provided.
This kind of knowledge is not picked up from trends, clips, or weekend hobbies. It comes from generations of people who knew how to do more with less, how to work with simple tools, how to honor the animal, how to feed a family, and how to turn ordinary ingredients into something special.
She still carries that old-world Eastern European approach into the way we farm, cook, make soap, render lard, work with animals, and teach.
What makes our workshops different
These workshops are built around small-scale, practical work.
Not industrial equipment.
Not complicated systems.
Not big investments before you know what you are doing.
Not modern shortcuts pretending to be progress.
Just real skills, simple tools, clean ingredients, and a process that can be understood from beginning to end.
If you are thinking about making your first batch of soap, starting sourdough, keeping chickens, processing an animal well, or bringing more old-world farm skills into your home, these workshops are built to help you begin. You will see what can be done with basic tools, good instruction, and a willingness to work with your hands.
This is the same standard behind everything we do at Mindfully Made Farm: start with the simplest, cleanest ingredients, know exactly where they come from, and treat the process with reverence.
Some of our favorite workshops
Traditional Soapmaking
Learn the principles of natural soapmaking using simple ingredients, careful formulation, and our traditional process. Classes cover ingredient selection, natural scenting, natural coloration, proper curing, and how to understand what is actually happening in the batch. You will leave with a recipe, a finished bar of soap, and the confidence to begin making your own.
Making Natural Lotions and Balms
Learn how we make simple, useful lotions and balms from clean ingredients like grass-fed tallow, beeswax, shea butter, and essential oils. Classes cover ingredient selection, texture, purpose, natural scenting, proper handling, and how to understand what each ingredient does in the formula. You will leave with a recipe and a finished product you made yourself.
Old-World Sourdough Making and Baking
Learn the principles of sourdough making and baking the practical way: starter care, dough feel, fermentation, shaping, baking, and how to work with time instead of fighting it. Classes focus on understanding the process, not making bread look perfect for the internet. You will leave with some bread, your own starter, a recipe, and the confidence to begin baking at home.
Old-World Pig Processing and Cooking
A hands-on workshop built around respectful small-scale pig processing, practical cuts, traditional cooking, lard rendering, and using more of the animal with care. This class is rooted in old-world farm knowledge and the belief that an animal should be handled with gratitude, skill, and purpose.

A hands-on workshop built around respectful small-scale goose processing, practical cuts, traditional cooking, fat rendering, and using more of the animal with care. This class is rooted in old-world farm knowledge and the belief that an animal should be handled with gratitude, skill, and purpose.
Old-World Chicken Processing and Cooking
A hands-on workshop built around respectful small-scale chicken processing, practical cuts, traditional cooking, stock making, and using more of the animal with care. This class is rooted in old-world farm knowledge and the belief that an animal should be handled with gratitude, skill, and purpose.
